• Clarinex passes through breast milk and may be harmful to the baby. Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.

How should I take Clarinex?

• Take Clarinex exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• If you do not understand the instructions, contact your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor.
• Take each dose with a full glass (8 ounces) of water.
• Place the disintegrating tablets (Clarinex Reditabs) on your tongue and allow them to dissolve. Swallow them with or without water.
• Take the disintegrating tablets immediately after removing the foil cover. Don’t save them for later.
• Clarinex can be taken with or without food.
• It is usually taken once a day.
• Never take more than the recommended dose. If symptoms persist, contact your doctor.
• Store Clarinex at room temperature, away from moisture and excessive heat. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 86°F (30°C).

What happens if I forget to take a dose?

• Take the dose as soon as you remember.
• If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next one at your regular time.
• Do not double the dose.
