What is the most important thing I should know about Avodart?
- This medicine should not be taken by women or children.
- Should not be used during pregnancy. If a pregnant woman comes into contact with this product, it could cause malformations in the external sexual organs of the male fetus.
- Dutasteride can be absorbed through the skin. Pregnant women or women planning to become pregnant should not handle this medication.
- Do not donate blood while taking this medication and for at least 6 months after stopping it, to avoid the risk of exposure to pregnant women.

What should I avoid while taking Avodart?
- Avoid donating blood for up to 6 months after stopping the medication.
- Pregnant women should not touch broken or uncoated capsules.
What are the possible side effects of Avodart?
Common effects:
- Impotence
- Decreased sexual appetite
- Decrease in the amount of ejaculation
- Breast enlargement and/or pain
These effects usually disappear as the body gets used to the medication.
Allergic reactions (uncommon):
