What is the most important thing I should know about Avodart?

• This medicine should not be taken by women or children.
• Should not be used during pregnancy. If a pregnant woman comes into contact with this product, it could cause malformations in the external sexual organs of the male fetus.
• Dutasteride can be absorbed through the skin. Pregnant women or women planning to become pregnant should not handle this medication.
• Do not donate blood while taking this medication and for at least 6 months after stopping it, to avoid the risk of exposure to pregnant women.

What is Avodart?

Avodart is a medication used to reduce prostate enlargement in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia. It works by decreasing levels of dihydrotestosterone, the hormone responsible for prostate growth.

Dutasteride helps reduce urinary blockage and improves urinary flow.
